Waiting Well

Waiting is hard. Waiting well is even harder. This is the hope and truth you need when you find yourself in a season of waiting.

 

In all of my childhood Christmas’s I can remember only one thing I really didn’t love.  The waiting.

The days on end of Christmas not coming.  The days on end of staring at gifts under the tree, of which there often weren’t many until just before Christmas, thankfully.  But for the ones that were there, I would stare at them, running my fingers along the shiny paper, feeling I might explode with excitement, anticipation, waiting.

I’ve really never have been that great at waiting.  When I was in high school I waited impatiently to have my braces off (because they were so not cool), when my first baby came, 8 days late, there were real tears in the waiting, and when my husband and I built a house a few years ago I didn’t handle the “waiting to move in” with much more finesse.

Waiting is hard, incredibly hard at times.  I’m writing about working through the tough and, at times, not so fun seasons of waiting and more importantly Waiting Well, over at Sweet Jesus Ministries .  There is hope to be found and truth to be seen in that very season, friends.   I hope you’ll join me!
