So I started a blog.
That feels a bit like “We bought a zoo” to me. I actually just watched that movie so I feel like I can say that intelligibly to you, without unknowingly referencing a slasher movie or something like that. Sidenote: If you hang around here long enough you’ll learn that I’m quite culturally unaware when it comes to movies. Sad, I know. So that may very well be my first and final movie reference.
Anyhow, starting a blog is choosing brave for me. I take this white space seriously. When I do things I am all in. I’ve walked into this one cautiously so you know I won’t walk away in a few months.
There are so many different ways I could go with this blog. And there so many things I have to learn. And I have so many ideas and dreams and practically no writing or techie experience. Isn’t that a recipe for awesome?
But I feel like God has opened a door for me here. So this is me bravely walking through that door. Bravely trusting that when He has called, He will show up. And so I will walk.
That is thing the about bravery. Bravery is action. Choosing brave is only the first step, the second is doing.
How many times do we dream only in our head? We have courageous conversations in our mind. We make big plans that we never verbalize, never put a form to.
Let me tell you, it doesn’t count if you don’t actually do it. Ouch. You can read articles about getting fit. You can think about how you are going to start tomorrow. You can even buy new running shoes or a great Under Armor tech shirt so you can look the part.
But unless you get out there and do it. And do it again tomorrow. And do it again next week. You aren’t getting fit.
So this is what choosing brave looks like for me today. And I promise ya, I’ll choose it again tomorrow.
Welcome to my zoo.
