Meet Katie

Hey there. I love making new friends! In case you are wondering just exactly who I am, here is the important stuff. I’m first and foremost a follower of Christ, a believer who is continually, faithfully and humbly seeking to know Him more. I live that out daily as wife to Ross (for almost 22 years now!) and a mom to Tyler, Bailey, Brooklyn and Bo (ages 10-18).

I’m a small town girl, born and raised in the state of Washington. I had big hopes and dreams of heading for a different coastline after college, but instead I married the boy I dated in high school. God’s plans are so much better. Together we are raising our four kids on a piece of property tucked into the countryside of south central Washington. We love to learn and serve in our local Nazarene church, of which we have been members for about as long as we have been married.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in business from Washington State University but my days are mostly spent in the busyness of running a home and homeschooling our kids. In surrendering my far and wide dreams for His so much better story, God has given me many opportunities to speak life and write truth. I love helping women follow Christ bravely and live boldly in the fullness of His plan for their lives – big, small and all the wild and mundane in between.

I fight to write honestly and authentically in this space. It is my prayer that you will find hope and encouragement here, that you will experience community and hear Truth, and that you will be inspired to boldly, bravely, follow the calling He has placed on your life.
