I’ve been mentored by many great friends, great writers and great books over the years and this is the spot where I get to share a few of my very favorites with you. You will find my favorite Christian parenting books, podcasts, and other resources here. Peruse the list, find the stuff that will encourage you right where you are today, and then check back often because I’m always adding new favorites.
Living Brave
Living brave is a choice. For me, that realization came after reading Brene Brown’s work, but there have been plenty of other great contributors along the way. Here are a few books, articles and blogs I love. Click on the picture links and they will take you right where you want to go. (Some links are affiliate links, you can read the disclosure policy over here.)
5 Leadership Questions Podcast – This podcast is one of my recent favorites. A collection of interviews with God-fearing leaders, it exemplifies courage lived out in real ways.

C.H. Spurgeon is quoted as saying “Visit many good books but live in the Bible.” I could not agree more and I would be remiss if I did not mention this particularly lovely one – the She Reads Truth Bible. Don’t be deceived by its simple design, it is stunning.
Parenting Brave
When we are leading the next generation of warriors there are no excuses for not doing it bravely. Here are a few reminders we all need.
Maybe Your Two Year Old Needs You by Sarah Mae
Walk Slowly, Mama by Amanda Conquers (This is post is a dose of grace and a beautiful reminder for every mama!)
Devotionals for the Family
Great devotions are more than a book – they are a tangible realization of our priorities, a gentle shaping of life-long habits and most importantly a launch pad for really good discussions in our home. Making time for them can be tricky – give yourself grace here, but don’t give up. Here are 3 that I love.
Teaching your kids that all creation speak His name? Here are a few fun ways we’ve done it – an up close and personal look at his creation. Honestly, my husband and I found these as fascinating as the kids did.
Brave Marriage
Club31Women – While Club 31 touches on many other topics as well, it is one of my favorite resources for marriage encouragement.
Francie Winslow is one of my favorites when it comes to marriage. She is not afraid to take on the hard topics. You’ll love her.
Educating Brave
Homeschooling is how we do things around here so if you are wondering what I am loving, what books have helped me form our vision for education and what authors have helped me work up the courage and grace to make this work for the last 6 years, well here you go.
Read Aloud Revival – This site is packed full of great blog posts, podcasts and excellent resources to encourage home educators.
Your Morning Basket – Hosted by Pam Barnhill, Your Morning Basket is a podcast focused specifically on developing Morning Time in your home.
Blogging Brave
I’m not even certain I have the tenure to discuss this in detail, but since many of you have been asking for specifics I’ll gladly share what I know. I started from scratch in 2015. I’ve read and I’ve studied. I’ve taken classes and asked endless questions of anyone who might have answers. These are a few of the top resources that helped me learn nearly everything I know about blogging.
Hope*Writers – This is a great writing group and excellent training resource. Their podcast is worth listening to as well!
Amy Lynn Andrews – I’m fully convinced Amy knows almost everything there is to know about blogging.
Brilliant Business Moms – These moms have a blog and podcast by the same name and offer great advice on the specifics of developing an online presence.
